Introduction
What Globatics is, how it works end to end, and where to start.
Globatics is real-time, privacy-first web analytics with a live globe. A small script on your site sends pageviews, presence, engagement, events, revenue and friction signals to your Globatics server. The server turns them into a live view you can watch, follow and replay, and into the reports, insights and alerts you expect from a full analytics product.
How it works
- The tracker (
/script.js) is one<script defer>tag. Its core is under 4 KB brotli, sets no cookies and stores nothing in the browser unless you opt in. Web Vitals load later from/vitals.js, when the browser is idle. - Ingestion (
POST /api/collect) validates each hit, drops bots, resolves the country and city, counts the visitor with a salted hash that rotates every day, and discards the IP address. Nothing about the IP is written to disk. - Realtime: every accepted hit is pushed to open dashboards over Server-Sent Events. The live view shows the measured latency in its badge.
- Storage is one PostgreSQL database (or an embedded one, with nothing to install). Reports, funnels, retention, insights and the AI analyst all read the same event table.
What you get
- A live globe with every visitor online, follow mode, filters that apply in real time, and replay of any range up to 7 days.
- Pages, sources (with a first-class AI-assistant channel), locations, devices, events, goals, funnels, journeys, retention and revenue.
- Rage clicks, dead clicks, JavaScript errors and Web Vitals, collected by the core script.
- Insights and “why did this change?” explanations, an Ask box that answers in plain language, and a built-in MCP server.
- Alerts with webhooks, public share links, a TV kiosk mode, a REST API and exports.
Next steps
- Install the script and send your first visit. It takes about two minutes.
- Read what Globatics stores before you update your privacy policy.
- Running it yourself? Start with Self-hosting.
- Want to see it first? Create a free account: onboarding sends a test visit, so you watch your first dot land on the globe.
