Globatics vs Hotjar (Contentsquare)
Hotjar is now part of Contentsquare, and hotjar.com/pricing redirects to Contentsquare’s plans. It is a behavior tool: session replay, heatmaps and surveys. Contentsquare’s free tier records a sample of sessions and leaves out frustration signals, and form analysis is on the custom-priced Pro plan. Globatics is a different tool: live web and product analytics that includes rage, dead and error clicks in a small script, without recording sessions.
Choose Hotjar if
- You need to watch session recordings and heatmaps of individual pages.
- You want on-site surveys and feedback widgets.
- You need form-field analysis.
Choose Globatics if
- You want traffic, sources, funnels, revenue and a live map, not recordings.
- You want frustration signals on every plan, from a script that doesn’t record the page.
- You want to keep the data on your own server.

Switching from Hotjar
- Many teams run both: Globatics for live traffic and friction counts, a replay tool for the few sessions worth watching.
- Globatics’ dead and rage clicks point you to the pages where a recording is worth your time.
