Terms of service
These terms apply when you use this website or an account on this server. They’re written to be read. If something is unclear, write to legal@globatics.dev.
The service
Globatics measures traffic on websites you own or are allowed to measure, and shows it live and in reports. The self-hosted software is provided under the license in its repository; these terms cover the service we run, not the copy you run yourself.
Your account
- Give an e-mail address you control and keep your password and API keys secret. You’re responsible for what happens with them.
Your data
- The analytics data of your sites is yours. You decide what to collect and you are responsible for having a legal basis for it.
- We process it only to provide the service to you, and you can export or delete it at any time.
- Follow the privacy laws that apply to your visitors, and say in your privacy policy that you use Globatics.
Acceptable use
- Only track sites you own or have permission to measure.
- Don’t send personal data you don’t need in event properties or identify traits (passwords, payment details, health data).
- Don’t overload, probe or attack the service, or use it to send spam or harmful content.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules, after telling you when we can.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available and fast, but we can’t promise it will never be interrupted. Features may change; we’ll announce significant changes in the changelog.
Fees
Self-hosting is free. Accounts on this server (Cloud) are free while Cloud is in beta. Paid plans will have their prices published, and account holders told by e-mail, before anyone pays; joining the waitlist commits you to nothing.
Liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses, lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time. We may close accounts that break these terms. Either way, you can export your data first.
Changes to these terms
We’ll update the date above and tell account holders by e-mail before significant changes take effect.
